Manly Away

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

Well, despite the scoreline, we really had a good time and enjoyed meeting some new prospective members. Some of the play from our young team was very promising and it’s important that we get behind them during these difficult first few weeks. I must say that the Manly fans are amongst the most arrogant I have ever encountered on my travels, and I’ve been to Campbelltown. A group of fans didn’t like our singing so they thought they’d throw half full bottles of drink at us. Not good. Oh and one other thing. Brookvale oval is officially at the bottom of the pile as far as NRL stadiums go. Twice the lights went out and at one point, a top flight match of rugby league was being played in less light than is usually seen on a monday night at Kambah Oztag! I suppose Max Delmege spent all his money on Jamie Lyon and now can’t afford the power bill!

Raiders Army Vs. Manly

Monday, March 12th, 2007

The Raiders Army will be at the game at Brookvale this Saturday the 17th of March to see the boys do what they did last year, which is make the critics choke on their words by thrashing Manly for the 2nd year in a row!

The Army will be sitting somewhere on the hill (wherever we can find a spot). Tickets will be general admission.

I’d encourage everybody going to the match to come and stand with the Army guys and girls on the hill. If the boys run out and see a masive sea of green it will pump them up and let them know we are right behind them. With all the crap that’s been said about our team in the lead-up to this season they need to know we still BELIEVE.

There are still seats on the Army bus to the match too, so don’t hesitate to come along with us. Meet a few new mates who share the same passion of the mighty Raiders as you do.

Hope to see you all at the game,

Azz.
